Obituary for Harvey George Bishop

Harvey George Bishop,
59, of Kenockee Township, passed away very unexpectedly Monday, March 27, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Mount Clemens, December 22, 1957, the son of Jack and Anna (McClelland) Bishop.
His marriage to Christine Buyse was August 17, 2013, at the couples home in Kenockee Township.
Harvey was a 1976 Memphis High School graduate. He worked over 25 years as a framing, trim carpenter, and door installer for Local Union #674. Harvey retired from Emmett Fire Department in 1995 after over 18 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, hunting deer, turkey, and rabbit and was a member of the Bass Anglers Fishing Club of Upper Michigan. Harvey was a loving husband.
Surviving in addition to Christine, his wife of three years, are a son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Alyssa Bishop of Avoca and a daughter, Tiffany Bishop of Port Huron; his parents, Jack and Anna Bishop of Goodells; two grandchildren, Gavin and Stella; three siblings, Ed (Linda) Bishop of Avoca, Jack (Brenda) Bishop of Goodells, and Linda McVean of Goodells, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by close friends and cousins, Ken Bishop (2001) and David Bishop (2015).
The family honors the memory of Harvey and invite you to visit and share memories Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter.
