Your entire staff was so helpful, caring, and knowledgeable of the items that we needed. I did most of my corresponding with Jenna on the phone, John helped with the memorial cards, prayer cards, and thank you cards. Mr. Kaatz and I met by phone a few weeks before my brother’s passing. The day he passed your staff collected him and his burial outfit. Eric contacted me to let me know her had his remains and any special details to be honored. Since I could not get to the funeral home until the day of his funeral, Eric helped in handling everything by phone and internet. My brother’s funeral was all he and I could wish for, thanks to Eric and your staff.

From the very first phone call. John was very compassionate and helpful. He explained what steps were needed to take care of my mom and offered his support throughout the whole process. When we attended the opening of the Mount Clemens, MI home we were impressed not only with the facility but Mr. Kaatz himself. He insisted on a walk-thru tour we spent over an hour discussing the various changes and Mr. Kaatz’s innovating procedures. His son John was a complete comfort when his services were needed. The cost was a little more than expected, but I was able to choose a beautiful wood casket which I always thought would be much more expensive. The website was very helpful in walking me through the process and allowing me to view many options in private before coming to meet with you.

The funeral home is very clean and the cafe is perfect for families to gather. The funeral assistant did a great job keeping the area clean and coffee going. It was a very busy day when we were there to make arrangements for my mom, our prayer cards should have been taken care of that day instead we called back to the funeral home.

My husband, Jim passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2019. John handled all arrangements with as much compassion as anyone could ask for. Just this past Monday, February 10, 2020 I received an envelope from the funeral home. My first 5 second reaction was confusion as to why I would be getting something from them several months after Jim's passing. When I opened the envelope there was a birthday card to remember Jim's birthday today, the 12th of February. Along with the card was a 4 page booklet entitled "Remembering that Love Lives On". What a special and thoughtful idea! The booklet includes discussions on grief, closure and ideas on how to honor your loved one. I have to admit that I shed a few tears upon reading this but was so thankful to receive it. I have shared it with my family and friends, who have also shed a tear or two. I want to thank the Kaatz Funeral Home family for the thought. And you are right, Love does live on!

My mother in law spent the spent the last 11 winters with us in Georgia. Years ago, I asked Kaatz funeral directors what I should do if she passed while living with us. They said, call us and we will handle everything for you. She passed away in May while here in Georgia. I placed one call to them and they handled everything. We came to Michigan for final arrangements and they made a difficult situation easy. They handled everything in a professional and dignified manner. I could not have asked for more. I would highly recommend them in any ones time of need.

Kaatz handled the services when my mom died and they did an absolute beautiful job. They made it almost effortless to go through all of the paperwork and arrangements and the way they handled everything is exactly what my family needed. It was a beautiful service and the people working it were the nicest people I have ever encountered. I would most definitely recommend this funeral home to others and when more of my family dies I'll use them again, no question.
